10 +1 things about myself
I have managed this blog for almost three years but never write anything about myself. Lots of emails from friends – and also from those I don’t know – say that my blog will be more enjoyable to read if they know me a bit. Well… why not?! It’s a wonderful idea anyway. Therefore I listed 10 (+1) things I would like to share with others.
So, here they are:
I am a mom with two kids, live in Jogjakarta with my family. I am 35 years old (will try to do my best to age gracefully). My husband is an architect.
I too have a degree in architecture, but…
I work at a language school. I teach foreigners Indonesian language. I like my students very much; they come from many countries, various cultures and different field of work, thus I learn many things from them.
I adore my kids, Adit (5 yrs old) and Sekar (1.6 yrs old). They’re my precious treasures I will sacrifice myself for. I know I am not a best mom but trying to learn how to be a good one for them.
I am not close to my parents. My dad passed away few years ago. I love my mom but don’t go along with her most of the time. As my brother is twelve years old younger than me, I don’t go along with him too. My sister is my favorite. With her, I can share lots of things. Nevertheless, they’re my family –- I have no idea what I would do without them.
I am a great cook – I used to hate it but then I am trying to learn as part of my attempt to fulfill my role as a wife. Now, I find that I manage my stress better when cooking.
I love to read – but always forget what I’ve read…and I do judge book from its cover.
I don’t think I can recall anything from my childhood. Sometimes I think it’s because I’ve been abducted by alien who brainwashed me when I was a kid, but then I realize that I watched the X-files too much.
I hate to work out and love to eat but always dream to have a Barbie look one day. I tried to be a vegetarian since it seems like a cool life style –- no success. Right now, I do Food Combining diet, it works better for me so far.
I love Jogjakarta. East’s meet west’s is never a simple union but this town manage it well. People will easily find traditional ambience and modern influence side by side – just don’t mention its beautiful scenery, fresh air and its quietness.
+1.
It’s not my personality to be extroverted emotionally, so writing have been helpful to me.That’s one of the reasons I started this blog – hoping this one will lasts.
